Performers

Stelios Mastrogiannis (Athens, 2004) moved to Austria in 2015 to study with Christos Kanettis at the Tiroler Landeskonservatorium, as well as at the Musikgymnasium Innsbruck. Holding a scholarship from the Ismene Carter Bequest of the Laskaridis Foundation, he began his studies in 2024 at the Mozarteum University Salzburg in the class of Benjamin Schmid. Since 2013, he has been a member of the “Strings in Motion” String Academy and has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in numerous concert halls across Europe. He has participated in international masterclasses and has been influenced by musicians such as Pavel Berman, Thomas Riebl, Boris Brovtsyn, Barnabás Kelemen, and Jonian Ilias Kadesha.

Gorka Plada (2002) is a highly versatile pianist and composer with great potential. He studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School in England and is currently completing his studies at the Hanns Eisler of Berlin with Eldar Nebolsin. He has been supported by renowned foundations, such as the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, to finance his studies. He was awarded the 2nd prize at the Bartok Competition in Budapest, the Steinway Förderpreis 2023, and received prizes in the Maria Canals and Santa Cecilia piano competitions. Gorka Plada has performed in venues such as the Berlin Philharmonic, the Concertgebouw, and the Liszt Academy, as well as at festivals like the IMS Prussia Cove. He has received guidance from leading musicians such as András Schiff, György Kurtág, among others, while he has participated in a CD production with chamber works by Brahms and Hindemith (Resonus), and has recorded a CD with Jeonghwan Kim featuring their own compositions for two pianos.
