The ensemble

Trio Concept was founded in 2013 in Turin. As an ECHO Rising Star for the 2025/2026 season, the Trio was awarded the “Yves Paternot” Prize, the highest distinction of the Verbier Festival, in recognition of its “outstanding talent and artistic excellence.” In 2023, the Trio was appointed a YCAT Artist and performed at Wigmore Hall in London. That same year, it won First Prize at the Schoenfeld International Competition in China and was selected as an ensemble-in-residence by ProQuartet in Paris. In Italy, Trio Concept won Second Prize at the Premio Trio di Trieste, becoming the youngest ensemble ever recognized in the competition’s history. It also received the Giovanna Maniezzo Prize from the Accademia Chigiana and was named “Ensemble of the Year 2020-21” by Le Dimore del Quartetto.

The Trio has been supported by De Sono Associazione per la Musica. Edoardo Grieco plays a 1766 Landolfi violin (on loan from Irene Miller and the Beares Society) and Francesco Massimino performs on a 1948 Oro del Reno cello.
