encardia, the beloved music collective that has been bringing the energy and soul of the Greek-speaking regions of Italian South to the hearts of their audience for more than two decades, presents a music and dance performance inspired by the philosophy of the festival: bringing artists and audiences together in the heart of the city, in neighbourhoods, squares and parks.

encardia approaches music as a means of bringing people together and fostering cultural exchange. They invite us to a great celebration with tarantella dances from Salento and Naples, with songs of emigration, for an imaginary land, and excerpts from “Erotokritos” by Vincenzo Cornaro, and Yannis Ritsos’ “Moonlight Sonata”. Ultimately, we will all be drawn together to dance the tarantella, this dynamic folk dance of the Mediterranean.
