He was the great composer, the great peace fighter who marked modern Greek history with his works and struggles. The 50 years of Greek democracy are inextricably linked with his musical creations.<\/p>\n<p>In the final years of his life, Mikis entrusted Stefanos Korkolis with his \u201cnew begin- ning,\u201d calling him \u201cthe ideal interpreter and ambassador of his music to the Greek and international audience.\u201d According to Mikis, Sofia Manousaki was the \u201cgreat, new revelation, both vocally and interpretatively.\u201d \u201c[Sofia] fully captured the in- genious interpretative concept of Stefanos Korkolis, who, with a piano, creates a musical-sound universe, the result of a large symphony orchestra with thousands of colors and rhythms,\u201d Mikis mentioned in a handwritten message.<\/p>\n<p>The Korkolis \u2013 Manousaki duo has recorded three gold albums featuring Mikis\u2019s works and has given sold-out concerts in Greece and abroad.
